Our AI promise

AI has flooded the bid writing market with fast, fluent, forgettable content — and evaluators have noticed. Our position is simple and we’ll put it in writing: your bid is written by experienced humans, AI is used only where it genuinely helps, and your information never trains anyone’s model.

Why AI-written bids lose

Large language models produce plausible prose at speed, which is exactly the problem. Public sector evaluators now read dozens of submissions that sound competent and say nothing — generic, evidence-free, interchangeable. That style sits squarely in the middle of the scoring scale, never the top, because top marks require specific evidence, genuine win themes and answers tied to this buyer’s requirements. AI doesn’t know your contract record, your people or your numbers. A bid that reads like everyone else’s is a bid that scores like everyone else’s. The patterns are exactly those in our guide to why bids fail: generic content, claims without evidence, answers that don’t address the question.

What we promise

  • Human-written. Every word that goes in your bid is written or rewritten by an experienced bid writer. We do not generate your answers with AI and hand them over.
  • Evidence over fluency. Our value is in the parts AI can’t do — interviewing your experts, finding your evidence, building win themes, writing to the scoring criteria.
  • Your data stays yours. We never paste your confidential information, pricing or commercially sensitive material into public AI tools, and nothing you share trains a third-party model.
  • Transparency. If we use AI to assist — say, to summarise a long tender document or check readability — we’ll tell you, and you stay in control of how your business is represented.

Where AI genuinely helps

We’re not against the technology — we’re against outsourcing judgement to it. Used carefully and without exposing your data, AI can speed up the unglamorous parts: digesting a hundred-page ITT to surface the questions and weightings, flagging compliance requirements buried in appendices, or checking that an answer reads in plain English. These are research and quality aids, not the writing. The thinking, the evidence and the words stay human — the same disciplines we describe in how to write a winning bid.

The confidentiality line

Bids contain your most sensitive material: pricing, methods, people, weaknesses. We treat AI tools as we treat any third party — with NDAs, access controls and a firm rule that confidential client information is never entered into public models. If a tool can’t guarantee your data’s privacy, it doesn’t touch your bid. This is the same standard behind all our services, and a question we’re always happy to answer in detail.

In short: AI can help us work faster on the mechanical tasks. It cannot know your business, evidence your claims, or out-think a human evaluator — and it never sees your confidential data. That’s the promise.

Frequently asked questions

Do you use AI to write our bid?

No. Your answers are written by experienced human bid writers. We may use AI as a research aid — for example to summarise a long tender pack — but never to generate the content of your submission. Evaluators reward specific, evidenced, human writing; that’s what you get.

Is my confidential information safe?

Yes. We never enter your confidential or commercially sensitive material into public AI tools, and nothing you share with us is used to train third-party models. We work under NDA and apply strict access controls, as with any sensitive client work.

Can AI not just write bids now?

It can write bids; it can’t write winning ones on its own. AI doesn’t know your contract history, can’t interview your team, and produces the generic, evidence-light prose that sits mid-scale on evaluators’ marking. The human work — evidence, win themes, scoring — is where contracts are won.

Why does this matter for our score?

Because evaluators increasingly recognise and discount AI-generated content, and because the marks live in specificity AI can’t supply. A human-written, properly evidenced bid simply scores higher. Our bid review service often finds AI-drafted answers are exactly the ones losing marks.
